Change Your Life - Add Mobility and Flexibility

Stew Smith

Tactical Mobility – A Book from Stew Smith, Gwen Lawrence, and Nick Benas.  Together, we created the third book in the Tactical Fitness Series.

In case you don't know, Tactical Mobility makes it easy to maximize your results in the most effective, efficient way possible. Tactical Mobility shows you how to break through personal barriers and reach your absolute physical peak!

Tactical Mobility was created by Stew Smith, Gwen Lawrence, and Nick Benas and is available at StewSmithFitness.com.  Navy SEAL Veteran Stew Smith, CSCS, helps struggling Military, Special Ops, Law Enforcement, and Firefighter candidates get TO and THROUGH intense tactical assessment and selection programs. Using specific training books, ebooks and online coaching, you will qualify for service and crush fitness tests and selection in the tactical professions.

Mobility and flexibility are critical to the tactical athlete (and all of us).  The stretches, movements, and mindfulness training is also stress relieving and a useful tool any time of the day to help with overall stress mitigation and physical recovery.  We should all be actively pursuing recovery in order to metabolize the effects of stress.  Plus, just read more about the Stew Smith Mobility Day - even if you do not buy this book, add this once a week and you will see this is LIFE CHANGING and will increase performance!

Here's the big benefit for you: Not only do you learn about flexibility, mobility, and mindfulness, but by engaging with one of the authors - Stew Smith - through his website - StewSmithFitness.com or his Facebook Group - Stew Smith's Tactical Fitness Training you can join a community of people who are like minded in their fitness and health pursuits.

What makes Tactical Mobility special as opposed to other books is you can do these exercises anywhere.  Before or after a workout, or just sitting in your living room of your house, these exercises are easy and effective and help you feel and move better.

Here’s Something cool about Tactical Mobility…
Tactical Mobility does that you might not realize is there is a mindfulness, resiliency / mental toughness section.  This goes well with the breathing patterns you learn to aid in relieving stress as well as actually doing the stretches and movements.

It is NOT for…
Tactical Mobility is not for those you already do yoga several days a week, or super flexible, or hyper-mobile, you do not need this program.

But It is for…
This book is for those of us who are stiff, sore, and working through past or present injuries. You may also find that you will feel better and help yourself prevent or worsen injuries in the future by having more pliable muscles, soft tissues, and joints.

Master the Basics
The thing I love most about this book is that it reminds me to get good at the basics. You do not need to be a Zen Master Yogi to be flexible, but a daily habit of stretching and moving the right way can be mastered.  Be a master of the basics.

One thing I do want to point out is It is just a book and does not stretch your body for you. But, from my perspective, that's not a deal killer because building good habits is part of the journey and it takes practice and discipline.  Being Self-Disciplined is the key to getting ANYTHING done in life (fitness too).

I have used Tactical Mobility to warmup prior to exercise with easy movements and dynamic stretches as well as cooldown after the workout with basic movements and static stretches.  We also have a day where all we do is non-impact cardio for 5 minutes - followed by stretching, foam rolling, or massage tool for 5 minutes - repeated 5 times.  That is my Mobility Day and it is life changing and my way of mixing the exercises in the book into a moving workout system.

Only $17...but...
The good news is that the cost is $17 for the book, but the link into a supportive community is FREE but priceless. When you compare that to other stretching programs, yoga classes, or worse doctor and physical therapy visits, it will save you so much money in the long run..

No More Waiting in Pain...

Now is the time to take a hard look at this if you prefer to stretch in the comfort of your home or want to build up so you can maybe one day join a local yoga class.  Remember - fitness is a journey and so is flexibility and mobility.  It takes time, consistent effort, but is really not that difficult.  Learn the foundation of flexibility / mobility with this weekly program..
